Introduction to Medical Coding
I want to explore the Medical Coding career. Need an overview of the career. Need to see what a typical shift in a medical facility might be like. Discuss skills set needed. Maybe an example of the work done to "code" a patient's record. Discuss HIPAA as it might apply to this. Show common errors & how to avoid them. Also please discuss non-traditional ways to obtain working knowledge about this career if a person lives in a remote area or there is no affordable college program nearby...can enough knowledge be obtained over the Internet to pass the certification exam? Thanks.
